 Asociación JennyStar ONG (Organización No Gubernamental), is registered by Guatemalan authorities.  The purpose of the NGO, aside from giving work to me and Guatemalan staff, is to donate ALL profits to support poor disabled children in villages around Antigua.  By renting a DVD, you agree that your money, after deduction of our costs, will be made into a donation. 

The NGO was registered in September 2005 with Registro Civil, and with the Superintendencia de Administración Tributaria (SAT) of Guatemala in December 2005.

In our first year, JennyStar ONG started sponsoring the education and healthcare of three local children.  We have continued to support the children even during the 4 months the shop was closed in 2007.  Between 2008-2009, we supported four children. 

In 2010, we are supporting  three  children with money from your rentals or our original DVD's.  Our monthly support, through Common Hope (Familias de Esperanza) includes their special school, in case of Rosa and Nelson, health care for all three, nutritional supplements and special medical care for Brandon.  See photos.

In addition to our monthly support, for four years we have been collecting money from our clients for Christmas.  With the money donated, we have bought each family several months of food bags at the beginning of each year. 

New year 2010:  We collected Q2,880 for food supplies for "our children".  Click for details.

Between 2006 and May 2008, in San Pedro las Huertas, we also sponsored Yanira.  We encouraged her to stay in school, but when she dropped out, we switched our monthly support to Rosa and Nelson.
