Asociación JennyStar is a Non Governmental Organization (Organización No Gubernamental), registered by the Guatemalan authorities. The purpose of the NGO, aside from giving work to me and Guatemalan staff, is to donate ALL profits to support poor disabled children in Antigua and surrounding villages. By renting a DVD, you agree that your money, after deduction for our costs, will be made into a donation. Click for details of the NGO.
| In 2006, JennyStar ONG started sponsoring local children, through Familias de Esperanza in Antigua. JennyStar ONG is paying, monthly, for their education, clothing and healthcare for them and their families, dental care for the children, and a certain amount of help with their families' houses. In the case of Brandon, our support is going toward his nutritional supplements and intensive healthcare, and for Rosa and Nelson, for special education classes. | ||

Jennifer delivered gifts in early 2007, 2008, 2009 and again in 2010, that were donated in the shop by our customers the previous Christmas, including a supply of food bags for each family, which we bought from Familias de Esperanza with the money donated by our customers. Many thanks ! This is in addition to our monthly support for the children. Jennifer is extremely proud of "her children" and we are glad to see that all the families and their houses seem to be improving with each visit we make. Familias de Esperanza is helping a lot of poor families help themselves. We are glad to be able to help a few of them. |
